A critically missing person from Westminster is being reunited with his family tonight. Cesar Agusto Mesa was brought into the Central District Police Station Tuesday afternoon by a good samaritan who was concerned for his welfare. At one point police thought Mr. Mesa may have been trying to get to New York where he has extended family.

I wish to express my sincere thanks to our many public safety partners who assisted with the search effort to include the Maryland State Police, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Carroll County Office of Emergency Management and Chesapeake Search Dogs. We are very fortunate to have such professional, knowledgeable and collaborative partners here in Carroll County.”
