HAMPSTEAD, Md. - A 63-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday in Hampstead.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said that approximately 10:30 am, deputies responded to the 4500 block of Lower Beckleysville Road in Hampstead for the report of a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they found a Jeep Wrangler had struck a utility pole, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
The driver was transported to Carroll Hospital Center where he was pronounced dead. At this time, there are no further details on what may have caused crash. Lower Beckleysville Road was closed for several hours to allow the investigation to be conducted safely.
