FINKSBURG, Md. (WMAR) -
Maryland State Police have reopened Route 140 near the Baltimore and Carroll County line after a deadly rush hour crash.
The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of Old Westminster Pike.
Police say a Toyota Tundra driven by William Mark Lehr of Westminster was traveling westbound on 140 when he crossed the center line and struck a Toyota Corolla driven by Ruchita Pandya who was traveling eastbound.
As a result of the collision, Pandya's car hit a Mercedes that was also going eastbound, driven by Charles Winters.
Pandya's car overturned and came to a rest on the shoulder, where she was later pronounced dead.
Lehr was flown to Shock Trauma with non-life threatening injuries and Winters refused medical treatment.
All lanes of Route 140 were currently closed for several hours for the investigation.
At this time no charges have been filed in the crash, and the investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 410-386-3000.
