WESTMINSTER, Md - Court Street, Greenwood Avenue and the surrounding alleyways around the County Circuit Court facilities are closed because of a police investigation at the Circuit Court.
The Circuit and District Court buildings have also been evacuated and closed according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
ABC2 has learned that a threat was called in and the caller said an "explosive device" was left inside the Courthouse.
Authorities are sweeping the building but they have NOT found anything just yet.
At approximately 8:30 am, Circuit Court officials received an anonymous telephone call claiming that an explosive device had been left in one of the court buildings.
A non-specific threat, it is not believed that a concern to the public exists beyond the court complex at this time.
