A group of eighth graders from Shiloh Middle School had fun with something things that might take them to space.

It's part of an event called, "Ready. Set. Stem." It gives students hands on experience as engineers. Besides putting together robots, they got an exclusive look at the space mission to the Pluto system.

Keynote speaker Becca Sepan, who works at Johns Hopkins Universit said the mission has been a nine and a half year operation that gave scientists the first glimpses of the blue planet in July.

Sepan said they are still collecting data from the mission and updates on the website.
