The music festival held Saturday showed awareness for opioid abuse and helped bring hope to struggling families.
The Addiction and Recovery Awareness Music Fest held Saturday in Westminster shed light on the dangers of opioid addiction.
The family-friendly event showcased eight musical acts, four speakers, and even had moon bounces for attending children.
The event’s goal was to spread awareness about the opioid epidemic that is not only affecting Maryland but states across the nation.
Drug addiction affects most families and this event helped bring attendees together and show them that they are not alone in the fight against drug abuse.
Proceeds from the event will provide financial assistance to young adults in the early stages of rehabilitation.
