A crash that seriously injured a Carroll County Sheriff's Deputy is under investigation.

It happened at 1:41A.M. Wednesday on Liberty Road near Franklinville Road.

Corporal Brant Webb was traveling westbound when his marked patrol vehicle, a Dodge Charger, was hit by a Toyota Corolla, driven by Anna Nicole Donohoe, 21, of Westminster, according to the preliminary investigation.

Both drivers were transported to the University of Maryland's Shock Trauma with serious injuries.

Liberty Road was shut down for several hours as investigators reconstructed the accident. It has since reopened.

Weather does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Temperatures were above freezing and there was no snow or ice in the roadway, Corporal Light confirms.

High snow banks, that often limit visibility, were not to blame either, according to the sheriff's department.

No charges have been filed at this time.

Anyone with information, regarding this incident, is asked to call Corporal Miller at 410-386-5900 or the Anonymous TIPS Hotline at 1-888-399-TIPP.
