TOWSON, Md. - Baltimore County police confirm a 58-year-old woman hit by a car in Woodlawn Thursday night has died.
Authorities say at 9:08 p.m. Thursday, Baltimore County Police and Fire responded to Security Boulevard and Woodlawn Drive for a report of a pedestrian hit by a car. When they arrived at the scene, responders found an injured woman who had been hit by a Volkswagen Jetta.
The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. She died Saturday afternoon.
An initial investigation found that the woman had been crossing Security Boulevard at Woodlawn Drive when the Jetta hit her. The driver remained at the scene.
The victim's name is not being released until next-of-kin are notified.
This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team.
