A water main break sent water shooting into the air in Parkville Saturday morning.
Public works crews have had their hands full with at least a dozen water main breaks, but it was this one between Walther Boulevard and Bel Air Road that sent water rocketing into the air.
It happened just before 9am in the 8300 block of Tapu Court.
According to Kurt Kocher, spokesperson for Department of Public Works, the main has been shut off and more than 80 homes are without power.
Kocher reports that the main is about 8-inches long, but there is no estimated restoration time.
Water from the break froze onto the pavement in the area.
