PARKVILLE, Md. -
A 17-year old girl is in serious condition after she was pinned between two cars Sunday afternoon in Parkville.
The girl's injuries where the result of a series of accidents that occurred during Sunday's wet weather.
Police said around 4:15 p.m. Kelsey Jordan, 17, of Middle River was stopped in the left turn lane at the intersection of Perring Parkway and Putty Hill Ave. when her 2008 Ford Escape was hit from behind by a 1999 Volkswagen Golf.
When Jordan got out to examine the damage, a driver traveling southbound on Perring Parkway in a 2001 Honda Civic slid into the crashed vehicles pinning the teen between the Escape and the Golf.
Jordan was taken to an area hospital in serious condition. The drivers of the two other cars were not injured, police said.
Police said wet road conditions contributed to the collision.
The crash team is investigating.
