How to talk to your child about sexual assault

Your child is getting ready to go off to college. They are excited about a new chapter in their life but it's important to talk to them about their safety before they head out for the semester. 

It might be an awkward conversation but talk to your child about consent and sexual assault. This won't only help them but could also help them if they see a friend in a bad situation.

We spoke to Dr. Maria Wydra, a psychologist at Towson University's counseling center about the best way to approach this talk.
