BOWLEYS QUARTERS, Md. - Contractors will replace more than 150 feet of sewer line on Bowleys Quarter Road this week.
Sewer line problems began more than a year ago. Local residents and officials called a sinking manhole into question and an inspection was conducted, according to Baltimore County officials.
In an attempt to reverse the problem, officials reinforced the pipe with a synthetic material. The attempt failed, causing officials to reroute the piping in the area, officials said.
The $300,000 repair will take about six weeks to complete, but the road will remain open, officials said.
