Serious motorcycle crash in Essex

ESSEX, Md. - At 11:50 Sunday morning, officers from the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack's, responded to a call for a serious motorcycle crash in Essex.

Richard Barton of Dundalk was riding his motorcycle in a group with four other motorcyclist's when witnesses say he just ran off the road into some brush.
 
Sgt. Horton at the Golden Ring Barrack's said that speed wasn't believed to be a factor and it may have been a medical condition that caused him to run off the road.  
 
Barton was taken to Bayview in serious condition.
