Despite a rainy start to Independence Day, the weather cleared in time for the annual Towson July Fourth Parade.
Hundreds lined the parade route in a sea of red, white and blue.
For some, the parade is an annual affair.
Ruth Ann Arty has been bringing her grandchildren to the parade each year for nearly a decade.
"It's a tradition," Arty said.
While Arty and her two granddaughters don't have too far to go to attend the festivities, that wasn't the case for everyone in attendance.
Cindy Rose said she lived in the Towson area for about 50 years, but recently moved to South Carolina.
"I came back just for the parade," Rose said.
