Power outages close 42 Balt. Co. schools

TOWSON, Md. - More than 52 Baltimore County school sites lost power, immediately following Friday night's storm.

Forty-two of Baltimore County's public schools are still without power Sunday evening and will be closed on Monday.

Summer school does not begin in Baltimore County schools until Monday, July 9, but all schools are staffed during summer months for those seeking to enroll students and for other business.

Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance says, "Our grounds crews have been working long hours under difficult conditions to restore access to our buildings, and we are working closely with BGE and county authorities to restore power on each of our campuses."

School closings are as follows:
