At 8:13 a.m. Monday police responded to the unit block of Harness Court for a car fire.

Investigators say that one vehicle caught fire and exploded, which in turn caught two other vehicles on fire.

"I was in my house on the other side and we hear this explosion. There was a bad concussion. The windows rattled and my little dog went crazy," Ken Williams, a Annen Woods Apartments resident, said.

The driver of the initial vehicle that caught fire was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. He was standing outside of the vehicle when it exploded.

One resident shared the letter distributed by the property manager. It said 'improper storage of flammable materials in the vehicle' led to the explosion.

"I can assure everyone that they don't think at this point that there is any criminal activity. They have not interviewed the gentleman that was standing by the car so they have to do that to try to help us put the pieces together," Cpl. John Wachter told ABC2.

Baltimore County Police arson detectives are continuing to investigate this incident.
