PIKESVILLE, Md. - PIKESVILLE, Md. - No injuries were reported after a Pikesville nursing home caught fire Monday morning.
Around 2:45 a.m. firefighters were called to Springhouse of Pikesville, an assisted living facility in the 8900 block of Reisterstown Road.
When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from a third-floor bedroom and quickly evacuated the building.
The fire was under control in less than an hour, and everyone was allowed back inside the building.
No injuries were reported in connection with the fire, but one person was taken to the hospital for treatment of unrelated breathing issues.
The scene was clear as of 5 a.m. and Reisterstown Road at Mt. Wilson Lane was reopened to traffic.
