Pedestrian hit by car, killed in Dundalk

DUNDALK, Md. - A 55-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Wednesday in Dundalk, Baltimore County police said.

Police said officers responded at 6:30 a.m. to a call for a pedestrian struck at North Point Blvd. and New Battle Grove Road.

According to a news release from police, the preliminary investigation shows that  Bonnie Jo Tucker, 42, of Dundalk, was driving northbound North Point Boulevard. when her vehicle struck Irwin Joseph Combs, 55, of Dundalk.

Police said Combs entered Tucker's path from the median section. Tucker remained at the scene.

According to witnesses, Combs appeared to be stumbling through the median prior to being struck, police said. Combs was pronounced dead at the scene.

No citations have been issued at this time.
