Nearly 200 Towson University students will participate in "Tiger Pride Day" on Tuesday.

Tiger Pride Day gives students a chance to interact with Maryland's elected officials.

The students will attend Maryland House of Delegate and Senate legislative sessions in Annapolis at 10 a.m.

Then around 10:30 a.m., students will break into small groups and meet with legislators individually for 10 to 15 minute sessions.

For the first time, students from the Towson University in Northeastern Maryland will be included in the group.

At 11:30 a.m., Towson University will be honored with a reception. Sen. James Brochin, Rep. Steve Lafferty, Towson University President Kim Schatzel, and Towson University Student Government Association President Taylor James will all speak at the reception.
