Looking to keep your donations local for #GivingTuesday?
Many Maryland charities are participating in the annual event, a worldwide day to encourage charitable giving.

Here's a list of some of those local organizations:
Donate or pledge $25 or more to the Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library on #GivingTuesday and be entered to win a private party in either of the library's two Storyville locations in Rosedale or Woodlawn. Donations can be made here, and pledges can be made by calling 410-887-3282.
The Maryland SPCA is asking donors to give the gift of second chances on #GivingTuesday. Here's how you can donate if you want to give a homeless pet a second chance at a forever home.
From 5-10 p.m. Tuesday, BARCS animal shelter in Baltimore will host a fundraiser at Barfly's at 620 E. Fort Ave. The whole menu will be 15 percent off, and there will be donated raffle baskets from local and national breweries. A name-your-own donation at the door gets you a hand stamp for discounts, and all money raised will go to BARCS' Medical Fund.
The Bethesda-based Michael Mosier Defeat DIPG Foundation, which raises money to find a cure for brainstem tumors known as diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas (DIPG),is collecting money on #GivingTuesday. The foundation was named for 6-year-old Michael William Mosier, who died of DIPG last year.
Bike Maryland is encouraging people who support safer cycling in Maryland to donate, or purchase Bike Maryland products.
On Tuesday morning, the Baltimore Blast practiced in pajamas to kick off its pajama drive for critically ill children. The pajamas, which fans can donate at games beginning on Dec. 10, will be given to The Casey Cares Foundation.
Pratt Library's #BookBowl, a football themed fundraising competition between Pratt Library and the Cincinnati Public Library, began at the kickoff of the Ravens/Bengals game on Sunday, and runs through the end of #GivingTuesday. The library with the most dollars raised wins.
This year, if Pratt wins, Cincinnati's director will wear a beehive wig and Ravens jersey and sing Crabs for Christmas; if Pratt loses, the Interim CEO will wear a Bengals jersey and dance the Ickey Shuffle while singing Welcome to the Jungle.
