The Owings Mills Mall was reduced to rubble, and now there's a plan in the works for a new opportunity that's exciting neighbors.
On Tuesday local officials will announce the stores that will come to the new Owings Mills Town Center, which used to be the Owings Mills Mall.
Multiple sources say that Costco, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Lowes will be a part of the redeveloped site.

The Owings Mills Mall opened back in the 1980’s and 30 years later it was torn down. Competition, vacancies, along with low profitability led to its demise.
Construction starts next year, and the new town center will open in 2019.
