BOSTON (WMAR) - The tragedy in Boston has touched Trinity Episcopal Church in Towson. Erika Brannock is a teacher who was at the race rooting on her mom who is pictured on the left.
Her mom was not injured, but Erika's sister has two broken legs and Erika's brother in law has cuts and bruises.
Erika is recovering at another hospital tonight in Boston.
In a statement from Trinity, Brannock is described as being in stable condition and ask for prayers of the community. Rev. Kenneth Saunders III, the rector for the school sent the following statement:
The tragedy in Boston has touched the Trinity community in a very real way. One of our teachers of 2 year olds at Trinity Episcopal Children's Center, Erika Brannock, was there to cheer on her mom who was running the marathon. Trinity has received information that her mom is fine, but has received notice that Erika's sister and brother in law were both transported to the hospital to receive treatment for injuries. Erika was also transported to the hospital to receive treatment. The family has communicated this with us through a third party. Out of respect for the family and their privacy, we cannot share the extent of Erika's injuries. We do understand that she is stable, but not able to be contacted at this time. Our community will pass along appropriate updates as they are shared with us. Please pray for Erika and her family.
