Health Department offers free flu shots

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. - The Baltimore County Department of Heath is offering free flu shots for residents from January 9 through 13.

Anyone 6 months and older is encouraged to receive an annual flu vaccination. Residents can get either a flumist or a flu shot from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Baltimore Highlands - Lansdowne Health Center, 3902 Annapolis Road
Drumcastle Government Center 6401 York Road, 3rd Floor
Dundalk Health Center 7700 Dunmanway
Eastern Family Resource Center 9100 Franklin Square Drive
Essex Health Center 1538 Country Ridge Lane
Hannah More Health Center 12035 Reisterstown Road
Liberty Family Resource Center 3525 Resource Drive
Woodlawn Health Center 1811 Woodlawn Drive

Confused about which vaccination to get?

If you are healthy and between the ages of 2 and 49, not pregnant and do not have underlying health problems the health department suggests that you get the flumist.

You should receive the injectable vaccine if you are pregnant, have underlying health problems, between 2 and 23 months old or 50 years of age and older.
