ROSEDALE, Md. - A gas line that caught fire after being struck underground had Baltimore County Fire Department evacuating businesses in the Rosedale Industrial Park Tuesday afternoon.
According to Baltimore County Emergency Management, a 2" gas line was struck around 1 p.m. near the area of the 6900 block of Golden Ring Road.
As a precaution, the fire department evacuated two businesses in Rosedale Industrial Park while crews extinguished the flames.
Crews from BGE responded to the gas line fire and shut down gas for the 19 businesses in the complex, a BGE spokesperson said.
As a safety precaution, BGE also shut off electricity in the complex until crews were able to repair the gas line.
There were no injuries and no residential customers were effected.
Fire crews were able to get the fire under control.
