Firefighters rescue several people from apartment building fire in Essex Friday evening.
Around 9 p.m. fire crews responded to the unit block of Valley Arbor Court for a reported fire on the second floor of an apartment building.

According to fire officials, several people were rescued from windows and evaluated for smoke inhalation.

The fire was placed under control quickly and no major injuries were reported.
There is no word on the cause of fire at this time.
