Firefighters battle 3-alarm fire at Owl Corp in Dundalk

DUNDALK, Md. - Fire officials are worried that the Owl Corp warehouse might collapse as a fire ravages the Dundalk paper recycling plant Friday night.

Baltimore County firefighters were dispatched to the 1900 block of Graves Court in Dundalk at around 6:30 p.m.

"We're having a hard time to get in the building because the structure is unsafe for us to be inside," Lt. Paul Massarelli said. "The amount of heat that was distributed from the fire first off was so intense that some of the walls are getting ready to collapse."

Upon arrival, emergency responders upgraded the fire to three alarms. According to the Baltimore County Public Safety Twitter page, the fire was fueled by paper in the warehouse.

There were no injuries, officials said.

Firefighters haven't been able to get close enough to the building to start fighting the fire from the inside. Firefighters at the scene said they expect to be on the scene for a few more hours.
