A woman injured in a fire in Overlea died from her injuries. Samantha Armstrong, 34, was taken to the hospital Monday night where she later died.
The fire started at 10:46 p.m. at a home in the 6900 block of Beech Avenue. A neighbor saw the flames and called for help.
Police officers on scene found a man on the porch roof and used a ladder to get him down. They found Armstrong inside the house and pulled her out. A third person who lived there was not home.
About 30 fire units fought this fire. Detectives believe the fire began in the kitchen ceiling. Right now investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
