CATONSVILLE, Md. - Students of one school in Baltimore County are staying home Thursday after a fire damaged their school overnight.
According to Baltimore County officials, a fire broke out at the Western School of Technology in Catonsville around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Crews arrived to find a portable classroom on fire with a second one starting to catch.
The fire went to two alarms. Crews were able to get it under control by 3:30 a.m. They were able to contain the damage to the two portable classrooms and some exterior roof damage to the main building.
There is no word on what started the fire.
According to the Baltimore County Public Schools, the school is closed for students on Thursday. Staff should report to Catonsville High School.
