Towson, Md. (WMAR) -
Number five comes up big for the family of a Towson University student killed in a hit-and-run crash.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, along with Dairy Queen, presented a $25,000 check to the family of Matthew Cheswick for his memorial fund.
The 22-year-old was killed by a drunk driver last year in Ocean City.
Flacco is trying to help keep the memory of Cheswick alive.
"The opportunity to come out and have a little fun and get to meet them, and support them - that's what it's all about. (It was the) first time meeting them today. They seem like a great family and anything we can do to help," Flacco said.
The donation launches the memorial fund into more opportunities. The money will be used for scholarships at Glenelg High School and programs aimed at reducing teen drinking.
