Donation drive kicks off for "Thankful Paws" mobile pet food bank

BALTIMORE COUNTY - A local organization dedicated to helping families and their four-legged friends now needs your help.

Since 2011, "Thankful Paws", Maryland's only mobile pet food bank, has handed out 30-tons of pet food to families struggling to buy food for their pets.

But officials say the demand for their assistance is rising, while their supplies are running dry.

So the Baltimore Humane Society is kicking off a two week donation drive. It starts Monday, January 13th and runs through January 26th.

They're asking for everything from wet or dry dog and cat food, leashes, collars, flea medicine and more.

Any donations can be dropped off at the Humane Society's adoption center in Reisterstown during regular hours.

The Humane Society has also named their Reisterstown local a permanent drop off location for "Thankful Paws".
