COCKEYSVILLE, Md. - Hundreds of people turned out Sunday to the Humidour Cigar Shoppe in Cockeysville to help the family of fallen Baltimore County police Officer Jason Schneider.
Schneider, a Manchester resident left behind a wife and two children, after he was killed in the line of duty while attempting to serve a warrant in Catonsville. Money raised Sunda from a silent auction, a raffle, food sales along with a portion of the Humidor's sales went toward a fund established by FOP Lodge No. 4, Baltimore County for the family.
"Today was fantastic." Said Dan Mead from the Irish Charities of Maryland. "It's a Ravens game but everybody showed up anyway. We had 5-600 people here during the day. It was nice."
Organizers said they raised at least $5,000 for the memorial fund from the event.
