Brick Bodies announced to its members that the Green Spring Station location will be closed for good May 20, 2016.

Johns Hopkins will be taking over the rented space. Johns Hopkins had previously made an agreement to purchase the Green Spring Racquet Club from the current ownership to build a medical building on the site. The process has been delayed due to the legal processes. As a result, Johns Hopkins will utilize the Brick Bodies facility.

CEO Vicki Brick wrote in the statement, "So they [Johns Hopkins] have made made it known to the current ownership of the racquet club that they want to utilize the space Brick Bodies is currently rented. We have been notified that we need to vacate the site by May 31, 2016, so Hopkins can claim the space."

The club said that it will stop offering group fitness classes after Friday, May 6.

According to the statement, all Brick Bodies Green Spring members can choose to transfer to another location or cancel membership.

"We love our members, and we have enjoyed our years at Green Spring Station," Brick said in the statement. "We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, and we hope that most of you will continue to be a part of the Brick Bodies family and one our other six locations."
