Chris Lucas born in Lansdowne, raised in Pasadena and went south after graduating from Spaulding.

Living out of a car, he wrote: "You're Gonna Fly" for Keith Urban and "Truck Yeah" for Tim McGraw with his buddy Preston. Then they formed the duo Locash.

On Wednesday, Locash was nominated for Vocal Duo of the year on CMA Awards, the first time ever being nominated, and Lucas' family couldn't have been any happier.

But there is one man missing Daddy Jack. If you ever spent time at the big vanilla in Pasadena you'd run into this proud papa, who predicted his son's success. He died 6 years ago. Chris made it a point to write and sing the song called "Best Seat in the House" and performed it for the first time when they took to the stage at the Grand Ole Opry.

Their biggest hit so far "I Love This Life" and from living in a car, Chris and his teammate Preston each just bought their first million dollar house in Nashville.

Sadly, Locash came up short losing to Brothers Osborne from Deale in Anne Arundel County.
