Baltimore County has a new interactive web-based storm reporting feature on the county website.

In January, when the area got 29.2 inches of snow, county residents were frustrated when they called to get information or make complaints and all they got was a busy signal.

Now, the new tool allows people to fill out the same form online as they would if they had called.

"That's gonna give us the ability to deploy resources as fast as possible during storms. We'll be able to se where complaints are and get them to the appropriate people as quickly as possible. So, in addition to the citizen benefit its's gonna help operationally," said Steve Walsh, director of the county's Public Works department.

The Department of Public Works also greatly expanded the phone system, including additional lines and call takers.
