Baltimore County police, fire resume search for man who fell into Prettyboy Reservoir

Baltimore County police are continuing their search Saturday morning for a man who fell into Prettyboy Reservoir Friday night.

The search was called off Friday night due to darkness after rescue teams were unable to locate the unidentified man.

The man was last seen hanging over the ledge of the dam sometime before 6:49 p.m. before falling into the water below.

Baltimore County’s swift water rescue team and Watershed Police searched the dam for the man until dark but were only able to find a hat and a tennis shoe.

Police found an abandoned car nearby with Virginia tags in the 18100 block of Pretty Boy Damn Road.

Police are attempting to contact next of kin and plan to resume the search Saturday.

It’s unclear from the release if the man accidentally fell or intentionally jumped into the dam.
