A Baltimore City school teacher was charged with possession of child pornography.

Baltimore County Police said 43-year-old Frank Joseph Pugliese III, a teacher at public charter school Monarch Academy, was also a 15-year employee at the Compass Academy in Arbutus, a school for special needs children.

Pugliese, of the 1200 block of Tugwell Drive in Catonsville, was charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography, police said.

Detectives discovered that Pugliese downloaded and shared videos and photographic images of prepubescent girls aged six to nine. Police searched the suspect’s home and found evidence of deleted files.

According to police, there’s “no evidence that Pugliese abused children or photographed or recorded children."

He was released on bail.
