A rally to get portable air conditioning in Baltimore County schools will take place in front of the Towson Historic Courthouse Tuesday.
The group “BCPS Parents & Teachers for Equitable Facilities & Portable AC" is hosting the event.
The group says having portable A.C. in classrooms is a better alternative than closing schools due to extreme heat.
Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz has called portable air conditioning a "bandaid" approach. In response, the group plans to give out “A.C. Bandaids” to raise awareness about the issue.
The event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
