BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WMAR) - About 2,600 homes and businesses saw water outages in eastern Baltimore County tonight as crews worked to fix a break.
The Baltimore City Department of Public Works says that a contractor damaged a water main leading to the Colgate Water Tank late this afternoon.
The break itself occurred on Simmons Avenue near the tank. About 2,600 customers in the area bounded by E. Baltimore Street on the north, Merritt Boulevard on the east, Delvale Avenue on the south and Quinton Street on the west may experience a temporary water outage for a few hours this evening.
Crews have fixed the break and have restored water to residents. Officials say that low water pressuer may still affect some.
