Two elderly women have died in two separate house fires in Baltimore County.

Lucy Thomas, 77, died on Monday after a fire broke out in the kitchen of her home in Pikesville. It happened on Nov. 1 in the 6600 block of Dalton Drive around 5 p.m. Thomas' boyfriend and 56-year-old son were in the home when the fire started. The boyfriend was able to escape safely. Thomas and her son jumped from a second-story window and were taken to the hospital. The son's last known condition was serious. Fire investigators determined the fire was caused by unattended cooking.

On Nov. 4, firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at home on Francine Court in Randallstown around 3 a.m. When they arrived, they saw smoke coming from the home and Pearline Felder, 93, unconscious in her living room. She died at the hospital on Tuesday. The cause of the fire was ruled an accidental electrical fire.
