13 Episcopal churches take ashes to the streets on Ash Wednesday

Ashes to Go service

Families are always on the go, whether it's to school, work, soccer practice or piano lessons.  13 Episcopal churches in Maryland understand that problem, which is why they're trying to make it easier for Catholics to get their ashes on this Ash Wednesday.

The churches are proving an "Ashes to Go" service today, according to the Episopal Diocese of Maryland.  They will be stationed at various locations in Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties.  This is the third year the group has offered the service.

Here are just a few locations where you can get "Ashes to Go":

7:30-9 a.m. Cromwell, Linthicum and North Linthicum light rail stations, Anne Arundel County

8:30-9:30 a.m. Lutherville and Timonium Fairgrounds light rail stations, Baltimore County

8am Starbucks on Roland Ave., Baltimore

12 p.m. Atwater's, Belvedere Square, Baltimore

1:30-2:30 p.m. Penn Station and corner of St. Paul and 25th St., Baltimore
