Yoga changes disabled vet's life

BALTIMORE -

An amazing, inspirational story about a local man's weight loss and determination is touching millions.

Arthur Boorman is a Gulf War Veteran who came home disabled.  As a paratrooper during the war, he damaged his body to the point where doctors said he would never walk on his own again.

Following the diagnosis, he became obese.

Then he discovered Dallas Diamond Pages Yoga, and it changed his life.

It is a form of yoga created by a former wrestler, who thought yoga could use some "pumping up."

It is about creating a slow, deep resistance to each movement, to get the body to work against itself.

Using this method, Boorman lost 140 pounds in one year.
