Words on Wheels shows talents of local students

BALTIMORE - It's become a tradition in Baltimore.  For more than 10 years, the Words on Wheels contest has showcased the talents of Baltimore's students.

The contest is sponsored by the Maryland Transit Administration, the Maryland Institute of College of Art, and Baltimore City Public Schools.

The poems are created by Baltimore City students from all grades, all illustrated using artwork created by MICA Students.

The ceremony was at Port Discovery.

The most exciting part of the ceremony was when the children read their poems.

The poems and artwork will be showcased on all M.T.A. vehicles including buses, light rails, and trains.
