Woman gets life for death during robbery

BALTIMORE - A woman has received a life sentence for an attempted robbery of her neighbor which resulted in that neighbor's death.

Bonnie Lee Lizor, 53, was sentenced to life in prison with all but 30 years suspended, and 5 years of supervised probation for her involvement in the death.

On December 2, 2009, Lizor and Austin Lassiter entered the home of 64-year-old David Monath, with the intent to rob him.

The idea was Lizor's.

The robbery was foiled when someone coming to visit Monath heard an unusual noise emanating from inside the home and entered.

The unsuspecting visitor found Monath tied up and unresponsive.

According to the medical examiners, Monath suffered a fatal cardiac arrest during the robbery.

Lassiter, plead guilty to second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. He was sentenced to 50 years, with all but 20 years suspended.

Lizor plead guilty to first-degree murder.
