Sgt. Alicia White, officer charged in Freddie Gray's death, to share her story

Sgt. Alicia White, one of six Baltimore Police officers charged in the April 2015 death of Freddie Gray, is breaking her silence.

In the recorded interview, White talks about her reaction to the charges she faced after Gray died in police custody. She shares what her life has been like to go from a police officer with a promising career to that of an officer facing charges in the community she swore to serve and protect.

She describes what life is like now after prosecutors decided to drop all charges against her. She also shares her feelings toward Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, whom White is suing for defamation and invasion of privacy.

White sat down with Investigative Reporter Brian Kuebler for the first televised interview of any of the officers charged in Gray's death.

The series of interviews were conducted at WMAR’s studios on Oct. 27 and on subsequent dates in White’s neighborhood of West Baltimore.
