BALTIMORE - Violence in Baltimore City has spiked over the past 48 hours, and police have release more information Saturday morning about three shootings on Friday.
The first shooting was around 1:30 a.m in the 2500 block of Edgecome Court. 22-year-old Lanell Ausby was pulled over for driving the wrong way on a street. As police walked toward the car, Ausby fell out and said he was shot but did not know who shot him. He was pronounced dead.
A few minutes later, 25-year-old Dawan Evans was shot in the 600 block of Pincher Street. Evans ran to the 1200 block of North Freemont Avenue, where he collapsed and police found him with several gunshot wounds to the chest. Evans was pronounced dead at 2:00 a.m.
Later that night, a 31-year-old man was shot near Carey Street in West Baltimore. Police found the man with serious gunshot wounds to the chest, after he ran to Calhoun Street and Fayette Street. Witnesses say they heard gunshots, but did not see the incident.
