BALTIMORE - They call the collaboration Tipsy Taxi, and the aim is to keep people from drunk driving on holidays that usually involve drinking.
Anyone celebrating at a Baltimore City bar or restaurant on St. Patrick's Day, this Saturday March 17th, between from 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., can call for a ride, but there are a few rules.
You have to be at least 21-years-old, have been drinking at a Baltimore City bar or restaurant, and you have to be headed to a home within the Baltimore metropolitan area.
The rides are free up to $50, so any balances exceeding that have to be paid by riders.
The Tipsy Taxi line is usually busiest between midnight and 2:30 a.m, so if you call and get a busy signal, just keep calling back until you reach someone.
If you need a ride this Saturday night, just call 1-877-963-TAXI.
