Thousands are expected to rally in Annapolis to urge Governor Hogan to work with Mayor Catherine Pugh to fix Baltimore City Schools' $130 million budget gap.

Parents, teachers and students are concerned about the potential loss of 1,000 school jobs. Advocates were transported in several buses from Baltimore to Annapolis Thursday evening.

According to the Baltimore Education Coalition (BEC) state per pupil funding for City Schools has been flat for the past nine years, while other costs such as healthcare, energy, transportation and food have increased.
