Houston is still reeling from Hurricane Harvey and many Texas businesses are looking to rebuild.

Here in Charm City, local businesses are helping the Lonestar State in any way they can.

The Charmery in Hampden created something special to help a local Houston ice cream shop. Proceeds from their new ice cream flavor, "Nivens McTwisp" will be donated to Chocolate Wasted in Houston.

Nivens McTwisp is the named of the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. The ice cream features cherry and poppy seeds with chocolate chunk. The flavor was created in honor of a signature flavor served at Chocolate Wasted.

The owners of the Charmery have never visited the Houston shop, but they felt it shared the same spirit as the Hampden shop.

"We are just happy, fun-loving people that love to give back to our neighborhood," Chelsea Homa, shift leader at the Charmery said. "We love Hampden here and that's only what I can imagine that Chocolate Wasted loves Houston as well. So we love to give back to them and just have a happy, upbeat attitude."

Proceeds from Nivens McTwisp will go directly to Chocolate Wasted.
