Graduate students at Johns Hopkins University put their engineering skills to the test to build robots capable of playing games.

The assignment was part of the Student Independent Projects for the Graduate Level Programming Course in the Engineering Department. Students learned how to program mobile robots and make them capable of sensing their environment and interacting with it.

Students programmed robots and drones to perform different tasks like playing chess, passing around a soccer ball and catching a tennis ball. Students had to show off their hard work for their final demonstration Tuesday afternoon at the university.
