Some lucky Ravens fans got an Uber ride with a celebrity Monday.

Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. took 10 minute rides with Uber customers around downtown Baltimore.

Uber partnered with the Steve Smith Family Foundation to support domestic violence survivors. Uber is donating $5,000 in rides for families at House of Ruth Maryland to make transportation more convenient and affordable.

To Smith, this is an extremely personal issue.

"Well, my mom is a survivor of domestic violence. So, it's just not an issue that looks good on a resume or is good publicity, but it's something I've grown up watching and experiencing. So, just like my mom, she's a survivor, I also understand the statistics and the impact that it has on a young man and child. So, it's just important because it's something I grew up in," he said.

Smith and the House of Ruth are helping to raise awareness ahead of the Steve Smith Family Foundation Fashion Show on Oct. 10 at the American Visionary Art Museum.  It also supports House of Ruth and victims of domestic violence.
